June 26, 2008 ANNUAL GOLF TOURNAMENT TO HELP THE FSUPD FOUNDATION The Florida State University Police Department Foundation will hold its third annual William Tanner Golf Tournament July 24, 2008 at the Don Veller Seminole Golf Course, 2550 Pottsdamer Road. Tee time will be at 8 a.m., with each of the 32 four-person teams competing for cash prizes and awards. All proceeds from the tournament will go toward benefiting the FSUPD Foundation. “The foundation has been in existence for 10 years, and in that time it has provided scholarships for dependents of current officers and financial help for members in times of need,” said Officer Mike Pohto. Sponsorship opportunities will be available for those who would like to advertise at individual holes, on drink carts or as chief sponsors of the entire tournament.
