CONTACT: Doug Carlson, (850) 645-1255; <doug.carlson@med.fsu.edu> April 22, 2008 FSU TO ANNOUNCE RESEARCH PARTNERSHIP WITH MAYO CLINIC Florida State University and Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville will announce plans to combine research efforts in areas of particular importance to the citizens of Florida on Thursday during the signing of a partnership agreement. Scheduled to participate in the signing ceremony will be Lt. Gov. Jeff Kottkamp; FSU President T.K. Wetherell; FSU Vice President for Research Kirby Kemper; Dr. George B. Bartley, chief executive officer of Mayo Clinic Jacksonville; and Dr. Thomas G. Brott, director of research for Mayo Clinic Jacksonville. The event will take place: THURSDAY, APRIL 24 Directions: From downtown, travel west on Tennessee Street and turn left on Stadium Drive. The College of Medicine is located on the corner of Stadium Drive and Call Street. Limited press parking will be available in a parking lot located off of Call Street between the College of Medicine and the Psychology Building. Additional parking is available in the parking garage on the corner of Stadium Drive and Spirit Way. ### |
